Trader Joe's salads, Mary's Harvest wraps recalled for risk from corn

Mary's Harvest Fresh Foods Inc. is recalling its branded wrap sandwiches and Trader Joe's brand salads because they include corn from a third-party supplier that might be contaminated with Salmonella and Listeria monocytogenes bacteria.
Several other companies have posted recalls this week citing a potentially contaminated corn ingredient from a third-party supplier. None of the recalling companies have named their corn suppliers.

Producer recalls Marketside brand salads for risk of contaminated corn

A Florida company is recalling ready-to-eat salads packaged under Walmart's Marketside brand because they include recalled corn from a third-party supplier. The corn is suspected of being contaminated with Salmonella and Listeria bacteria.
GHSE LLC of Green Cove Springs, FL, did not name the corn supplier in the its recall for 738 pounds of Marketside brand “Fiesta Salad with Steak.” The company shipped the salads to retailers in Florida, Georgia and South Carolina, according to a notice posted by the USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service last night.

A California-based grocery chain is recalling almost half a ton of ready-to-eat salads, including the 365 brand sold by Whole Foods, because they contain corn from a third-party supplier that is under recall for potential contamination from Salmonella and Listeria bacteria.

Potentially contaminated corn prompts grocery chain to recall chicken salad

A regional grocery chain headquartered in St. Louis is recalling chicken salad from 32 of its stores because it contains corn from a third-party supplier that has been recalled because of possible Listeria contamination.
Schnuck Markets Inc. did not name the supplier of the corn or report how the potential contamination was discovered.
