Indocyanine green lymphography is the new gold standard for diagnosis of lymphedema. With sensitivity and specificity superior to those the conventional technetium-based lymphoscintigraphy,1 it has become many lymphedema surgeons' diagnostic modality of choice. Indeed, at University of Iowa Lymphedema Reconstruction Center, the ICG technology has for many years been successfully relied upon for diagnosis, treatment planning, intraoperative guidance,2 and postoperative tracking of lymphedema patients.
