Falls are the leading cause of morbidity and mortality among US older adults and result in considerable medical and social consequences. Community-based screenings are a type of intervention that provides accessible fall risk screening and education at no cost to the participants. Reference values for the Balance Evaluation Systems Test and the Mini-Balance Evaluation Systems Test need to be established to predict falls in older adults during every stage of aging.
